Picking a controller for Genshin Impact (PC): Make sure it uses XInput!
Dear diary, today I want to share how to know if the controller you want is compatible with Genshin Impact on PC. In short: - The controller should use the XInput API, generic DirectInput (D-Input) controllers are likely not supported . - If the controller has a switch, usually on its back or top, and usually with the letters X and D , it should be supported if the switch is set to the XInput position. - The product description, technical details, manual, box and/or announcement page should inform which type of device the controller is, make sure it says XInput and not D-Input or DirectInput . - PS4 controllers should be supported . - PS5 controllers might not work , however, they can work via Bluetooth .
