Build Sucrose as a Carry: Team comparisons
Dear diary, today I want to share my opinions on the many possible teams where Sucrose can be played as a Main Carry.
This post is a continuation of the previous guide, Build Sucrose as a Carry: EM vs DPS, and uses the same methodology, data and recordings.
Konagi-chan believes it was necessary to test this many team variations in practice to fully understand their strengths and weakness before identifying each team's advantages, disadvantages and viability.
Here's the spreadsheet with each team's notes:

Please note that while great effort was put in testing each team, some results might be different for each traveler depending on the characters' constellations and investment. For teams based on Electro-related elemental reactions, these notes assumes the team's Fischl has a very strong C6 build. Likewise, Konagi-chan didn't really build Kaeya, this means that travelers who have a strong Kaeya might use him for a more offensive role than just as an elemental aura source.
These notes also includes opinions about each elemental reaction focus and about each element the Elemental Burst can absorb and its implications for each reaction the teams mainly uses.
Only teams consisting of deployable, off-field, lasting and/or over time elemental application were considered. Teams that have negative synergy were discarded. Teams that uses the fourth slot in a way similar to quickswap teams were not tested. Teams that uses Shatter as main damage source were not tested. Teams that heavily rely on characters that Konagi-chan didn't build were discarded.
The results are, in short:
- Superconduct teams in general makes it hard to trigger Fischl's Ascension 4 (A4) Talent and are the weakest because of the low reaction damage.
- Overloaded teams are quite strong if the reaction is triggered at a high rate but have two issues: Overloaded can backfire sometimes and its explosion can split mobs too much making it harder to hit all targets with AoE skills or require constant repositioning. It's also possible to trigger Vaporize or Melt in these teams, making them even stronger.

- Electro-Charged teams are the strongest. These have access to Vaporize for high burst damage and Frozen for heavy crowd control. The reaction doesn't backfire like Overloaded and doesn't split mobs too much, additionally, it can launch enemies triggering fall damage at a slow rate. The energy generation is really high and can reduce the need of investment into Energy Recharge (ER) on some characters.
- Freeze teams are weaker and require more investment in raw damage but brings very heavy crowd control that makes up for not relying on triggering Fischl's A4 Talent. In practice it might require even lower investment than the other teams. The downside is that the character options are pretty limited.
- Melt teams were not tested because they require higher investment and Konagi-chan doesn't have well built characters for the roles yet.
- Vaporize teams, if well invested, are just as strong as Electro-Charged teams but harder to build. These teams can also make use of Frozen and/or Melt sometimes depending on the team setup.

Konagi-chan made a video playlist that includes one example of each team composition style, based on the reaction, and two extra videos featuring a team with Ganyu on 12f-2A and 12f-3A. You can find it here.
Konagi-chan also recorded one example of Overloaded backfiring as proof for its disadvantage:
This ends my travel diary entry for today.
I hope today's notes will be useful for future travelers.

Konagi-chan did not test Ganyu because she was obtained only after the data was already gathered.
