In-depth Spiral Abyss 1-12 guide and database for 1.2

Image
Dear diary, today I want to share an in-depth guide and database for Spiral Abyss floors 1-12f of version 1.2 of Genshin Impact. This work is a collaboration between a few content creators. Konagi-chan (Aru) contributed with data gathering. The guide is originally published by 2Board  on reddit, here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/l2pgrp/indepth_spiral_abyss_112_guide_and_database_for/ The database contains a list of the Blessings of the Abyssal Moon, a list of the Benediction Buffs, basic information of each chamber of every floor, the order in which monsters spawns and tips for clearing the challenges. The database for floors 1-8 can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JGcyP1ZaETDb6pf00SwQVDSSWQnVzECjMwaPbXEbGow/edit?usp=sharing The database for floors 9-12 can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1D-5Alh0SpVM3Jjy1X-5EYZBeTW8mA6If8OjwJdC8PgQ/edit?usp=sharing If the documents above are hard to read, the guide is also available on Trav...

Build Sucrose as a Carry: Team comparisons

Image
Dear diary, today I want to share my opinions on the many possible teams where Sucrose can be played as a Main Carry. This post is a continuation of the previous guide,  Build Sucrose as a Carry: EM vs DPS , and uses the same methodology, data and recordings. Konagi-chan believes it was necessary to test this many team variations in practice to fully understand their strengths and weakness before identifying each team's advantages, disadvantages and viability. Here's the spreadsheet with each team's notes: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HxmIvFi6bLf4f2rZ0uskjAkXDOJS2lFQlvIhs_tHsBI/edit?usp=sharing Please note that while great effort was put in testing each team, some results might be different for each traveler depending on the characters' constellations and investment. For teams based on Electro-related elemental reactions, these notes assumes the team's Fischl has a very strong C6 build. Likewise, Konagi-chan didn't really build Kaeya, this means that ...

Build Sucrose as a Carry: EM vs DPS

Image
Dear diary, today I want to share an experiment on building Sucrose as a Main Carry for many different teams and identify whether these teams benefits more from Elemental Mastery (EM) or DPS buids. Konagi-chan used this methodology: - Clear the First Half of the 2nd chamber of the 12th Spiral Abyss Floor as it's ideal for AoE experiments. - Each team will clear said chamber 5 times while Sucrose uses an EM build. - Each team will clear said chamber another 5 times while Sucrose uses a DPS build. - No relevant benediction buffs should be picked. - Attempts where an unpredictable event happened are discarded. For example, latency problems. - Teams triggering Electro-related Elemental Reactions uses Fischl's Ascension 4 (A4) Talent: Undone Be Thy Sinful Hex. - All attempts are recorded. - The completion time, in seconds, for each team will be noted down. - The best, worst and average completion times will be calculated for each team. Konagi-chan believes this was the best way to r...

Dodge Fatui Anemoboxer punch without using Stamina

Image
Dear diary, today I want to share how to dodge Fatui Anemoboxer's punch without consuming stamina. In short: - When the Fatui Anemoboxer starts lifting its arm in preparation for the charged punch, walk towards its side to avoid the attack, you can walk either to the left or to the right. - This works regardless of the element the Fatui Anemoboxer has absorbed. - This works even under Condensed Ice slow effects such as the one from 12th Spiral Abyss floor. - This might require some practice to use in combat. Here's a demonstration: And a slowed down version to compare frames: This ends my travel diary entry for today. I hope today's notes will be useful for future travelers. Spiral Abyss 12-3 3 stars: video, gear and tips

Image
Dear diary, today I want to share some details I consider useful for attempting to clear the hardest Spiral Abyss chamber. Konagi-chan wants to warn that while these tips might apply to most travelers they should not be followed blindly, especially by travelers who never wishes or those who do so a bit too much. The basics: - Reaching Adventure Rank 50 - World Level 7 is recommended. - Of course, you need a team you're confident with. The third chamber of the twelfth floor is tough. - It is recommended to have well geared sub-dps and support characters. - It might be necessary to  cherry-pick good benediction buffs . - As a metric, aim to clear the first half within 1 minute and 40 seconds or less (at least 8:20 remaining). - It is recommended to have the strongest team take the second half as it spawns more enemies. - Try to manage the enemy movements for better grouping. This will require a lot of practice. General tricks: - Certain heavy attacks or elemental reactions if timed c...

Protect the Monolith with high HP (11-2 Spiral Abyss)

Image
Dear diary, today I want to share how to protect the monolith with high HP remaining while attempting to clear the 11th floor - 2nd chamber of Spiral Abyss. In short: - This is a tip for travelers who don't have Venti but have Sucrose. - You can use Sucrose AoE Swirls to freeze many enemies together in a big area while dealing decent damage via Elemental Reactions and Ley Line Disorders. - This requires very minimal investment and allows high investment on the second half team. Here's a demonstration: This ends my travel diary entry for today. I hope today's notes will be useful for future travelers. Konagi-chan wanted Sucrose before the game was even released. Dodge fire ball AoE (Spiral Abyss)

Image
Dear diary, today I want to share how to dodge the fire ball AoE while attempting to clear Spiral Abyss. In short: You have to dodge when the fire ball is very close and collide with it during the initial i-frames and then get outside of its AoE explosion range as fast as possible. Here's a demonstration: Here's a slow motion of the first part  0:03 : Here's a slow motion of the second part  0:06 : When attempting this try to dash towards the fire ball when it's about to hit the character. If you miss the timing you might get hit by its initial attack or sphere AoE. If you miss the direction the fire ball will make a curve and throw off your timing. This might require some practice to manage consistently. This ends my travel diary entry for today. I hope today's notes will be useful for future travelers. Konagi-chan learned to dodge more efficiently after reading  this reddit thread . Play, read, watch or talk more about Genshin Impact: Facebook:  https://www.facebo...

Avoid Fatui Cryogunner target lock-on (Spiral Abyss)

Image
Dear diary, today I want to share how to avoid Fatui Cryogunner's target lock-on easily while attempting to clear Spiral Abyss. In short: - You just need to swap characters to make it lose its target. - The Fatui Cryogunner will now walk to the last direction it was facing. Here's a demonstration: At  0:22  the Cryogunner targets Diona but Xiangling can attack behind it. At  0:47  the Cryogunner targets Diona again but in a corner, Xiangling can get away easily. As soon as I swap to Diona again the Fatui turns 180° and hits Diona. At  1:07  the Cryogunner targets and hits Diona again but Xiangling can create an opening to allow Diona to be healed. This ends my travel diary entry for today. I hope today's notes will be useful for future travelers. Konagi-chan loves Diona's kit and character.
